Well done, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities. ~ Luke 19:17
“People often describe me as having a unique blend of right and left brain expertise. I prefer to think of myself as a highly creative strategist, someone who always has an individual’s or organization’s goals in mind, but is able to bring a fresh, innovative, perspective to the table.
During my early career as a professional photographer, when I documented the biggest icons of the hip hop movement, I found myself becoming increasingly fascinated by the huge impact pop culture was having on business strategy. I started putting my observations to work, first as the co-owner/curator of the biggest photo archive of people of color, then as a digital strategist in the mobile space and also as the founder of the strategic think tank, Diverse Insights.
The skills and empathy I use to put people at ease in front of a camera are the same ones that help me uncover deep insights from my visual subjects. This is especially effective for those reluctant to share.“
God blessed us with Chi, a loving father, husband, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend, and tireless mentor. He was an extraordinary person who defined and walked his own unique path, inspired others, and lived a faith-driven life in service to many. For over a decade, he committed to preparing and serving food for the homeless in Jersey City, New Jersey.
But Chi has also left us with his legacy as an extraordinary, passionate, and gifted professional photographer. We are grateful that he shared with us the approach and perspective he brought to photography and business strategy. Ultimately, it was Chi’s essential qualities, we knew so well, that made him such a tremendous talent.
